On our journey along the east side of the island we discovered the side with the tallest and wildest vegetation, due to its colder and wetter climate. We then begin our trip at the famous Pico do Areeiro, the highest accessible place on the island, with a stunning view over its volcanic mountains. We then descended to the Ribeiro Frio, a place characterized by its rich flora and fauna, and its ponds for treating and breeding trout.
We continued our journey to Santana, passing through beautiful and unique off-road paths, only accessible with our 4×4 vehicles. We had lunch at a restaurant in Santana (optional) where we stopped to observe the iconic houses of Santana and its beautiful village. We continue our journey, stopping at local bars, viewpoints and places with unique landscapes until we reach the final destination
