West
On our journey along the west side of Madeira Island, we discovered a side of the island characterized by its low vegetation, its history and its breathtaking views where the sea meets the mountains. Our trip on this side of the island passes through mythical places such as the Cabo Girão viewpoint, one of the most famous viewpoints in Europe. We go off-road in the laurel forest with incredible views, only possible with our 4×4 vehicles. We then passed through other places, such as São Vicente, Seixal, Ribeira da Janela and Porto Moniz, famous for its natural pools and the wild northern sea. We stopped for lunch at one of the best restaurants in the area (optional).
Afterwards we started our climb up to the mountains, where we stopped at the fanal to observe its forest, where you can be amazed, amused, walk or relax just observing its centuries-old trees, its flora and fauna. We continued to Paul da Serra and stopped at some local bars before the end of our trip.
