Begins at Ribeiro Frio and finishes at Portela, this walk is about 11 km and and offers you a mixture of “levada” walk with a mountain walk. Walking through the native forrest you will admire the n ative forrest and some birds, such as the firecrest.
This Levada is one of the oldest public 'levadas' of the island, where you admire the various shades of green of the Laurissilva forest. At the end of the walk, in Portela you have an amazing viewpoint.
